MB Voucher

I'm sure others will receive a similar email, but be on the lookout for a $4000 voucher from MB. The email acknowledges that many of us have had issues with our SLs. In exchange for completing all open recalls and campaigns, we will receive a $4000 voucher to be applied against a list of MB products, financing or lease payment, or purchase of a new vehicle.

I was just going to post, here's the text:

Thank you for being a valued member of the Mercedes‑Benz family.

Dear KH,

We understand that you may have encountered some inconvenience during your SL63 ownership experience, and so, Mercedes‑Benz USA (MBUSA) is pleased to offer you a voucher for $4,000. In order to redeem your voucher, we only ask that you have all open recalls and/or service campaigns on your 2023 Mercedes-Benz SL63 W1KVKxxx completed by an authorized Mercedes‑Benz dealer by November 1, 2024, otherwise the voucher will be invalid.

All open campaigns will be performed by your authorized Mercedes‑Benz dealer FREE OF CHARGE.

Once all open campaigns have been completed, simply bring this email and proof of vehicle ownership to your authorized Mercedes‑Benz dealer before January 1, 2026 to redeem the voucher.

Maybe the recall addresses the software issues and therefore they are awarding the customer? Interesting for sure, I wonder if the recalls will make the experience much better so the customers are more loyal to the brand?

I wonder if MBUSA is sending this email to all 2022 SL 63 customers or only those that went in for at least for 1 (one) service/repair visit (other than Service A or B).

My car is back in the shop tomorrow to replace a defective trim piece on the driver’s seat (2nd time). My only outstanding recall is for the fuel pump. The part has not been available since the winter. I’ll ask again tomorrow. I would like to redeem the voucher ASAP.

Mine is a '22 SL55; I'm pretty sure I have had all my updates done. Haven't received any emails about the voucher though.

I dropped off my car at MB service this morning. I showed the email to my service advisor. He said MB did not give the dealership any info about the vouchers. He will figure out what to do to get the voucher. The email says to show the email. The link in the email says a QR code will be provided, but fails to mention how and when the QR code will be provided to the owner.

The email indicated to call MB at 1-(800) FOR-MERCEDES (1-800-367-6372), or contact your dealer. When I find out more from my dealer, I will let you know. If you didn't get the email, you should call the 800 number.

Thanks for responding.
I called mercedes at that number today and unfortunately they were not helpful at all. They told me to talk to my dealer. I contacted my Salesman and he knew nothing about it.

Please let us know if you find more out.

Is there like a program effective date by chance? I wonder if MBUSA will start notifying detailers in July?

Yesterday when I dropped off my car for service, the service advisor said the computer system that administers the information for the cars was down. He had to use a bunch of old forms to collect signatures, etc. (stuff that he usually does on the tablet). A few minutes ago, he sent me a text to say that the problem was a nationwide outage affecting 15,000 dealerships and that it will be at least Monday until things were back online. It is fair to say that nothing regarding the vouchers will be answered or processed until things are back online.

That explains why they have no idea about this voucher.
