I have a 2022 SL 55. Does anyone know if Traffic Sign Assist that is enabled while using distronic can be turned off? I could not find a way using Settings/Assistance/Traffic Sign Assist on MBUX touch screen. While using distronic cruise control the traffic sign displayed will suddenly drop to 45 mph on the interstate where speed limit is 70 mph. If your speed is set at say 75 mph, the car abruptly slows to 45 mph which can be dangerous if someone happens to be following a bit too close at interstate speeds. There are no 45 mph signs present and no reason why the speed limit should drop. On a recent trip it happened so many times without cause that I stopped using cruise control along with all of the other inherent safety features.

 

Yes, turn off the Adopt Speed Limit setting.
