SL/R232: Worth the risk/used

2022 GLE 53 AMG Coupe, 2023 E-450 Cabriolet
R-232 thread: In 2011, I bought a 2005 SL65 AMG roadster and was very happy with the tremendous amount of power generated from her rear wheels: went through a set of tires in a few years and also enjoyed watching those young 911 Porsche drivers in my rear view mirror who wished to race me at the stop lights
In 2018, I had to trade her in since there were ABC issues, brakes and other repairs which was too expensive. Since we had 2 E-cabriolets, first a 2018 E-400 and now a 2023 E-450 cab. Both are very agile adn nice, good for crusing on the highways and driving around the city.
Now, with huge discounts for 2024 R232 (SL 63 roadster), I am lurking around to see if :
(1) Should I lease or finance these exotics ?
(2) Battery issues and lots of software updates needed ?
(3) Should I just stick with the R231 ( 2020 to 2017 SL 63 ) with similar BHP= 577 horses ?
What is the annual depreciation for a 2024 SL63 purchased in mid 2025 with 20% discount off MSRP ? Is it worth the while ?

ok so we loved the SL55 we took out for a ride but the amount of lemon law/manufacturer buyback cars out there scared us off... we ended up going more practical with a 2023 E450 that has 1057 miles on it, so basically brand new... time to update the signature AND while we where buying this E450 there was this 2014 Challenger R/T Redline with16k miles and a 6 speed in the showroom.... It's showroom condition, so yup we got that for me as a replacement for the Harley as well
