0dd Seat back adjustment when positioning
New to me SL55. Trying to get more leg room but as I position back the seat to where I get desired leg room, the seat back leans forward. So now I have leg room but now I'm leaning forward. I'm thinking maybe some code decision to ensure rear "seat" room exists if driver moves his seat back too far?? I set the auto seat positioning to 7'3" and helps a little but not enough. Is there a defeat of this position conflict? Keep seat back comfortably reclined while maxing out rear postion?

Interesting rational and makes sense. Yes I've tried the manual seatback setting to tilt back but it causes the seat to skoot forward as the back tilts. Meaning the back still retains whatever safe distance its programmed for then back to less leg room, Seems a "coder" could come up with a work around.

This behavior is standard for several SL generations. This includes space for the comfort exit/entry feature where the seat moves back before exiting the car. When the seat is moved back too far, the feature is also not working. They simply have a max backward movement; after that the backrest goes more vertical before stopping to still support the safety systems to work...
