Hi: I just bought my 1985 380SL and plan on some restoration. The first thing I noticed was that the wipers were not aligned well. As I investigated further, I see that the wipers overshoot the windshield on the side and top and really don't "park" like the newer cars do. The wiper baldes measure 19" each, which seems like the right dimension, but, maybe the wiper arms are not the right size. I could switch to 18" wiper blades to solve that problem, I guess. Also, when I adjust the wiper sweep so that they don't stop in my field of view, the passenger wiper only wipes one-half the of the windshield on that side. What gives?? Can anyone tell me about their SL's wiper movement and offer any suggestions??
