keep the 1988 560SL?
Too many cars and need help to decide which to keep: my 1988 560SL (69K miles) and 1995 E320 Cab (64K) are getting along in years and I am considering a newer car (2006 CLK500 Cab)...I am long term 2nd owner on both cars and they have both been very well maintained and run like new...any pro/con on one vs. the other as a keeper. Only reason to sell one or both is that gargage space is running out...also have 1994 Land Rover D90 and Porsche 996 and will probably keep both...thanks for any input. I already thought about a larger garage.

That's a well rounded stable of automobiles you have there! E320 Cabriolet's are rare cars. Even though I prefer the 560SL over it, I believe the E320C will hold better value over time. The mileages may seem high, but to knowledgeable and informed MB enthusiasts, both of those vehicles are durable enough to triple that without much worry. Take which vehicle you enjoy driving more, and keep that one. Also bear in mind this is not the best of times to sell a convertible. Waiting until early spring might be a better idea, unless of course you have a buyer too good to pass up.

Thanks, same thought here on each being pretty bullet proof which is why I bought them...fortunately I escaped NY and am now in Honolulu where every day is a convertible day...any negatives on the CLK500 Cab? Thanks again.

Glad to be of some help. As for the CLK500, you will notice a decent increase in performance, and I cannot recall hearing any issues with that motor. But, since you live in a all-year warm weather climate, I strongly recommend looking into an R129 SL500 or 600. They are solid, powerful automobiles which come from an era when MB was all about overengineering and durability. I absolutely love my SL, especially on those 80 degree summer nights. If you only need two seats, then I definetely believe you should take a look at the car.
