How many are still out there?

Given the production numbers of the 107, how many are still drivable since the last one's were built some 19 years ago? Anyone care to give a guess-timate?

Well I understnad that the total production run was something like 122,000 unites. Figure that half of that went to the US, and of that maybe half are left? That means that we are looking at roughly 30K units? Seems high.

From the number I see here in the rust belt (mostly from spring to fall) and those that I know about hidden away in neighbor's garages I think there are a huge # still in drivable to excellent condition and would estimate on the high side. Someone with a lot of time and law enforcement contacts could do a search of all 50 states' DMV's and get the number registered........

Given that Mercedes-Benz claims that 75% of all vehicles sold in North America since 1955 are still on the road... 300,175 107's were built in the 18 year run (both roadster and coupe). Approximately 2/3 went to North America (200,000). So, using their claimed 75% still on the road number... 150,000 are still burning gas stateside.
