560SL brake pads - sensors
I am planning a winter project to replace the pads on my 560SL with some Porterfield or Wagner pads to cut down on the dang DUST. ![action](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/action1.gif)
The existing pads don't really need replacing yet, so could I get by without replacing the sensors? I have not dug deep enough to see just how hard a DIY project this would be. I have a decent price from a really great shop for pads/sensors, but if I could save 50%...I might do it myself.
Any feedback is appreciated!!

The pads and sensors are very easy to replace did my 560sl, should take about half hour each side or less 2 bolts hold the calipers, their are 2 pins that hold the pads in place along with a flat spring, tap these pins out and compress the caliper pistons (yours should have a dual caliper piston set up) using a caliper press (sears for about $10 bucks) install new pads, spring and pins attach to car.…………….. done.
No need to open brake fluid valve.
