560sl driver side taillight is not getting any power, what would be the best way to approach this? I have was told that the problem is behind the fuse box? Will I need to buy any particular parts?

I'd also check for a short in the wiring. Next to a bad bulb, a short is more likely than a fuse box issue.

I'm assuming you've checked your fuses?

Have you used a voltmeter to check for lack of power at the light both accross the bulb and from the hot terminal to a chassis ground?

A bad power connection or a bad ground are number one on my list, both at or in the immediate vicinity of the tail light.

Behind the fuse box is pretty low on my list.
