I've bought from a variety of places, but for general mechanical parts and some of the interior stuff I go to Rusty Cullens at www.buymbparts.biz. Talk to either Rusty or Tom. Their 800 # is on the web site. Good prices, GREAT service and they know MB.

As far as a dash cap, I think you have to go to a specific site.

WOW!!!! Engine rebuild?

Checking some prices of engine mechanicals it looks like an engine rebuild would cost $$$ THOUSANDS $$$$$.

Cheaper to buy a car not needing an engine rebuild!

Absolutely!

Amen to that. My experience in engine builds is limited to early Chevy V8's.
Interior stuff like new seat vinyl and door panels don't look too bad price wise.

You can get cheap soft tops, seat covers and carpet sets on eBay. But be careful of any seller with the word "quality" in there name - Believe me when I say that!

World Upholstery is an excellent source for most of that stuff. Many on-line discount sources have dash pads and you can probably also buy from manufacturers like Coverlay.
