Question 1987 560SL Possible Electrical Issue?

Hi....I've enjoyed this Mercedes for the last 3 years...No problems.
I have a 1987 560SL. I took it for a ride this spring and the temperature gauge started to creep up and got to overheating. After extensive replacement of parts in the cooling system and no luck getting the gauge to respond...I finally took it to a guy who chases this kind of problem. The problem being at this point is that when the blinker goes on, all the gauges respond in a back & forth and up and down movement and an increase in the temperature gauge when the blinker is on or not....The cooling system is fine (He took a laser and found it NOT to be overheating). He took out the instrument cluster....got it tested ....It's OK. He chased and found ground wires....replaced some and sanded the rest....Still nothing! Is there anyone out there who might have an insight as to what is going on? A specific ground or harness wire?....We seem to be at a dead end....He has had an older Mercedes Tech come down and try to help....Still to no avail!
I'm up in Massachusetts and will end up putting this car back in the garage for the winter...I'm hoping to get the problem solved before spring!! Hawkeye 1987

Although your tech found, tightened and cleaned ground wires and connections, there is a ground connection on the Printed circuit board of the cluster known for breaking. If this is the case, you can resolder the traces on the board or easier, add another wire from the cluster to a good ground point.

If he did check this particular ground circuit.... never mind.
