Replacing Fuel Pump Relay

I am trying to replace the fuel pump relay in a 1988 SL560. I went through the glove box, removed the liner, but there is no way my hand can reach in and pull out the old relay. Is there an easier way to get access? Thanks Allan

Not that I know. Only thing I can think of is to find someone with small hands.

I had to remove a small part or two to gain access, and even at that you have to remove the Idle Control Unit, and the Climate control relay. As you look at them, on the left side of the glovebox opening, the FPR is the back, left one. Put on a cotton glove to keep the lacerations to a minimum. good luck.

Hi Al needed to exactly the same on my 89 560. I have no idea how to get to that relay myself this access nightmare is unlike the Germans. I looked and just gave up. Did you finally Change it, if so give me houdini's phone number.
