Help - Idle / Vacuum line question

Hi
Just cleaned the idle control valve with brake cleaner, worked wonders, idle is now consistently down to 700 range from 1500, etc..
Thanks for the thread on that....and the heads up to check all vac lines

Looked over the vacuum lines, sealed them up with liquid tape, then at the last minute I noticed this thing.

Can anyone identify this?
What is the device- to the side of the idle control valve, have my finger on it...
Am I missing a vacuum line? Where would it connect?

Appreciate any help.
Thanks!!

It's the warmup regulator and it should be just a vent to atmosphere.
