High Idle Speed

I start my '85 380sl after a few days and the idle speed seems to be running away at about 1500 rpm. I adjust the air fuel mixture and speed using the special tool that goes into the top of the air cleaner. I get it to calm down to about 600 rpm, only to have it run away at high speed when I start it again in the next few days.

Any thoughts. I know there is some kind of idle speed control module. Is that the problem??

Thanks!
Joe
