MB 560SL
Mono Valve vs. A/C

Just had the mono valve replaced on my 88 MB 560SL 'cause I wasn't getting any warm air when the wheel was turned to heat. Before replacing mono valve, the A/C was working fine - now, no matter where I put the wheel, it blows very, very hot air only, no cool/cold air at all, ever! Mechanic took out mono valve & put it back in thinking mono valve was 'stuck', but still no cool/cold air when wheel is on cold. Help!

Assuming your AC is up to spec a faulty mono valve will allow hot coolant to flow while the AC is on that ain't good. Have your buddy put a set of gauges on the AC system and post the bar? Regarding the mono valve did he test it or did he use the FUUA approach and bill you.
