1981 380SL - What should I look for?

So my neighbor recently put his 1981 380SL up for sale. The car is maroon with a tan interior and has both a hard top and the regular convertible. It has roughly 160,000 miles on it and he's asking $4000 obo. This car is in decent shape from what I can tell minus a broken turn signal and it has been sitting in his shed for as long as I've lived in the neighborhood (about 3 years). I've only seen him drive it twice.

Being a long time BMW owner and having never owned a Mercedes I'm wondering what I should be looking for when inspecting this car. From what I've read on the internet it seems like there can be some issues with this V8 in terms of the fuel injectors, timing chain, cooling system, etc. Is there anything else that I should be aware of? This car has definitely been sitting for a long time and if his truck and house are any indication this car probably hasn't been very well cared for.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help. I'll update more after I inspect it further and take it out for a drive.

Look at my 1981 380SL that I have for sale on Ebay (ends today). Everything listed that I did to the car will need to be done to the one you are looking at. If his house is a mess, so will his vehicles be. Plan on spending some money. .
