Duplicate keys for 1984 380sl
Hello, All: I just purchased a 380sl which has but one set of keys. How can I obtain a duplicate set? I see that an e-bay vendor sells blanks. Who can cut them? Can an already cut set be obtained with my vin number? Thanks.

I would stay away from the eBay purchase. I foolishly purchased a eBay fob and the dealer would not touch cutting the key so as someone else here said keys in our area range $350 so I’ve just decided that I will attach it permanently to someplace on my body to not lose it again. I only have one key for my 84 380SL as well and I’m hoping that they might be more reasonable as its not a FOB but first I need to fix a high-pressure power steering hose leak.

I just bought one for my 560 from my Indy shop. He ordered it using the vin. Number and it worked perfectly. Cost me $20.00.

I just ordered a key from my dealer for $24. Just had to have a photo ID and title or registration.
