Electrical Issue and Fuel setting

I am a recent buyer of a 1981 380SL. Everything seem to work great, but I have a wire under the hood that I can't figure out. I have studied the electrical diagrams I have and can't find this wire. It comes off the diagnostic connector, runs with some other wires up by the coil, then loops backward. I found it with the end laying on the exhaust manifold. I cannot figure out where it goes. Anybody got a clue?

Next question is , can someone tell me how to set fuel mixture screw on the fuel distributor? The car has new O2 sensors, but it seems it is running a bit rich at an idle. It smokes a little, and exhaust smell strong of fuel.

Thanks for your help!

The wire connected to the TDC sensor on the front of the engine. Not needed anymore. There is only one O2 sensor. Do not adjust the fuel mixture without the proper equipment.

Thanks for the info on the wire. Can you tell what I need to adjust the fuel setting?
