Headrest Question (1972 R197)

I recently purchased some chrome seat belt guides that fit on the head rest posts. When removing the headrest, I noticed the one side opposite the side which requires you press the seat back button to release the headrest was not attached to the headrest itself. I inserted it back into the headrest, placed the guide in the side closest to the door and reinstalled the headrest. Unfortunately the pole that was not attached to the headrest has slipped down into the seat back.

I know I can either buy a used headrest and use one of those posts or find the part number for the post itself but my question is:
(1) if it felt down the inside of the seat back, how difficult is it to open the seat back (I noticed a screw at the bottom of the back of the seat), and (2) has anyone else had a problem with the posts not staying attached to the top of the armrest? It was only one side that wasn’t attached.

Thank you

I just installed some good headrests to replace the bad burst open seams old ones. Yes, that screw lets you pop the whole back seat cover off. Not hard to get off. Is hard to find that screw hole again when you try to put it back. If one of my old headrests can be of any help, like using the guidepost off the old one would help you, message me.
