I think I will just rest my case and move on. I don't feel like wasting my time proving something that I know is mine.

If I do post a picture of it, someone will say its not mine. I post the title and registration showing my name and matching the VIN, someone will say its forged. If I drive my car to a meet, someone will say its borrowed.

You will never win if you try to reason with crazy people.

But when you see an R230 SL with an SLR nose running around in California, then you know who owns it.

My closing remarks for you:

you really sound like a sissy little girl...

btw - let me guess that the "55" in thericker55 means that you badged your 2001 S500 (that you bought USED from a ghetto dealer) with a 55/AMG.

You don't even belong in this SL forum... buy an SL first (can you afford one?)

This is a lesson to everyone....post your stuff and make sure it is legit or thericker55 will hunt you down. I have other stuff to do but enjoy this distraction every once in awhile.

The post was legit and the car's existence was verified by the same guy who tried to shoot it down.

The issue was that the picture was intended as a depiction of the product (thinking that this picture was seen by everyone already), and not the actual vehicle. This in turn created confusion for everyone. Interpretation of the post extrapolated uncontrollably into the guy's obnoxious and childish behavior.

I re-read the original post... was there a disclaimer at all, re the picture being intended merely as a depiction, or was there deceit, in hoping that the reader would unknowingly, mistake a depiction for actual ownership?

I don't believe my question above is in anyway obnoxious or childish ...

I never verified anything about an imaginary car, the only thing I verified was you being a liar....

Your comment/question is not obnoxious or childish.

There was no disclaimer (never thought that there are those in this forum that make it a big personal deal).

It confirms my attitude towards the posts should be at mere face value (as it always has been for me) - simply for the joy of reading and possibly getting helpful information. As in any other automotive forum, I could care less if one claims to own an Hyundai or an SLR - they know what they have.

You have to consider that those who make such false claims use the public forum to make themselves look better. It doesn't affect you or me, or anyone in anyway. However, those who react baselessly to the posts in any public forum, and challenge them are the ones that have serious issues and are the ones that end up as being stupid.

The car is sitting in front of WHEEL TEC in TAMPA Florida.
Wheel Tec is the authorized dealer for the hood.
I dont know who the owner is of this car but the owner of Wheel Tec has yellow Sl55 with the same hood.
I have bought a bunch of stuff from them so Ill call and ask them who it belongs to .

First off I'm not taking any orders from a 40 something year old that lives in a ****y apartment fit for a college kid, (and leases 2 of the exact same cars financed to the hilt and up to your eyeballs in debt! what a dip****!) You deffinitely have the maturity to match w/ your admitted love for rap music? and being the father of a 15 year old kid, what a great role model you are I feel sorry for your son what a pathetic example you set. You are really sad.....So now your going to be the Mother Theresa of this site defending people? oooooooooohhh I'm shivering in my boots..... Isn't it time for you to set your Tivo to record Pimp my Ride? Now Shhhaaddduppp my little BIT-CH!!!!

So the first pic you posted is your car? Funny if it is.. that car has a FLORIDA license plate, look at the relection in the mirrored windows.

You say you are in CALI? Why on earth would you ship a car across country? That would cost you close to $3k in shipping... Why not ship the hood to Cali and have the paint work done there?? umm?
Why would you say "perfect fitament" and then post pics of a car thats not yours? Your first post leads one to believe the pictures are your car.

Personally I don't give a rats a S S if its your car or not. It would be better to post a pic saying here is the hood I just got.... the picture is not my car...

Oh and here is your car again on Ebay... where you got the pictures.

How come it seems like a lot of people have a hard time reading - and always have a problem of parsing sections of a statement and going off on a tangent???

Where in my posts was it stated that "THIS IS MY CAR?" as referring to the posted picture?

Just to reiterate... I just said in the post previous to this, that the car pictured was used for demonstrate the product (hood).... and it is not my car!

If shipping a car cross-country that costs $3k does not make sense to you, then more likely you will go mentally crazy if I told you that I just paid for one suit for my girlfriend that costs $2,500, or maybe just the fact that I just spent about $22k in modifications on a brand new S500.

Things that make sense to other people doesn't mean it will make sense to another.
