I got an Aston DB9 in January but it is not the car I thought it would be. It is very uncomfortable for my 6' 3" 220lb body, and a little to stiff for driving in LA. So I decided to sell it and get what I think is a much more user friendly super car Hope to have some spirited discussions on this board.

Thanks for posting the pics. And thanks for the nice comments. I wish it was more comfortable. It looks like I found a nice black 65 in Dallas. Now all I have to do is sell the DB9.
Anyone know what the aluminum trim option is on the SL65?

Serious q here, dont wanna sound like a ****. Why the hell would you trade a DB9 for SL65? I kinda think you would be downgrading. Id only trade DB9 in for VanquishS, or 575.

I already have a 360 F1 so don't need another Ferrari. I thought the DB9 would be a cross between a Bently and a Ferrari. But it's not. It is beautiful, but for me it's not functional. I was trained as a mechanical engineer, and I was always taught that form should follow function, not vice versa. It's terribly uncomfortable to sit in. The seats are too narrow and too hard for me. The suspension is too stiff for LA traffic and its not adjustable. The switchgear is poorly designed and much of it is cheap plastic. You can't see the digital dashboard in the sunlight, the steering column does not adjust electrically, and the $4000 stereo system keeps shutting down. The car already rattles and has lots of bugs. I am not getting much help from Aston Martin and the car is already depreciating rapidly.
The SL is everything the DB9 is and more. Much more comfortable on long drives. Much faster (even than the Vanquish) and much more user friendly. The warranty is better and it is easier to get serviced. Plus it's both a coupe and a roadster. With the Kleemann mods, it will push 749HP and 1000 Lb/Ft of torque. Nothing short of GT2 or Enzo can touch it. So for me, the decision is a no brainer. I was really hoping the DB9 would be the car I fell in love with when I first saw it...Oh well

Im sorry to hear these things about your aston. You seem to have gotten a bad apple. If the SL is what your hearts desire then there are many MANY sl65s around SoCal dealers. They are not selling from what i have seen. Everytime i go i see atleast 2 SL65s and 1 CL65. Good luck in your hunt. You should be able to get one for a good price.
