Problems with Michelin tires

I had my dealer swap the Pirelli tires off my 55 for Michelin pilot sports. I'm thinking now that may have been a mistake. Had to replace the rears at 7,000 miles because of vibrations. Tires were basicly out of round. Road force comfirmed this. At 8,000 miles my front/s are giving me the rump, rump at slow speed,10 mph or less. It's got to be the design or the manufacturing of the sports. I had the same front problem with my SLK 32. I've ran Michelin tires on most all of my other sport cars owned and never had any of the problems I've experienced with this design. You guys running Michelins have any of these issues? I would like to install the new Michelin PS2, but the only rear size close to what we use is 295/35/18. Slightly larger dia. Not sure who to ask if this will work. I really don't want to go with the Pirelli's.

when i took my car to service to have the turbin wheels exchanged for chrome, the asst. service manager told me to only expect 5000 mi. of use on my michelin pilots--same for my brakes. said that is standard for the sl600's

I only got 9k miles on my factory Michelin Pilot Sports but, they got noisy at 4k. When I put my 3rd set of tires on and I had a complete realignment including the Distronic and I now have a very quiet set of Michelins and going on 9k miles. I'm also inflating my tires to 33 front and 34 rear which may wear the tires a little more in the middle and may give me a little less traction but, it also reduces the chance of cupping which was the problem on previous sets. I also have a feeling that the factory alignment wasn't spot on as my new alignment feels much better and truer. I still wish Bridgestone had my size in the PolePosition3's.
