SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Thinking of trading in SL55 for F430

I just have to tell you that your Murc is gorgeous! It's my dream car, especially modded with a set of HRE's. What's even cooler is that you have a career in finance, also one of my passions.
Keep up the good work

That would be cool if/when I'm in the area. Same for you if you come south. I'll shoot you over a message tomorrow after I get the pics. As for now, I need my beauty sleep

My TR stickered at 121,000....and was selling for $100K over...I bought it a few years later for $80K
My 348 was getting $60-70K premiums...I waited 10 months and paid less than sticker.
My F40 commanded $500K+ premiums. I waited several years and paid alot under sticker...I think about $200K under.
I'm afraid 430's are just the latest bling bling thing and nothing more. The only really special production car of the new stuff is the CS. That may hold its value....but I doubt it.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

IMHO, ask the dealer how much you could get it you sell it back with a few hundred miles. This way, if you get it and you are not happy with it, you know what your downside really is. In the end, if the money is not a big deal to you, I say get it and be happy. Life is too short and you can just turn on the tv to be reminded of that.
Best regards,
Jerry
I might just opt to get a Continental GT or a DB9 in a year or so.

Otherwise you wouldn't be driving the Porsche, you conceited *******
Seriously, I do think driving a Ferrari in the city is a little weird, as far removed from their intended role as you can imagine and more likely to invite negative comment. If I lived in a city all the time, I would find it difficult to justify having one. On the other hand, if fine driving rural roads are just a few minutes away, it's the perfect playground to have and enjoy one.
