Was in the SL55 Formula 1 Safety Car yesterday...
Had the chance to sit in the SL55 safety car at AMG yesterday. The vehicle had the deepest Recaro bucket seats I've ever seen, and full carbon fibre dash and door panels. The car also had up rated front brakes (bigger than the standard 8 pots!) and a modified front spoiler lip to help cool the brakes.
The car had the same 500bhp engine as normal SL55's however the exhaust was straight through with no cats or resonators and was very loud - not 'public' road legal thus why the car was not registered.
Not much more to say, just that it was one beautiful car!
