I called Kleeman about the Electronic Body Lowering module and after talking to the salesman he said that $1700 was too much for the Kleeman modue. He tried to tell me that the Eibach Protronic worked better and costed less at $1325. Is this true? Opinions? He also told me that an install on either unit would be $300...

I forget what I paid for my Carlsson lowering unit but $1500 installed sounds ballpark.Originally Posted by Fast_SL55

From what I remember, the Eibach module was a Version 1 Brabus module relabelled that had all sorts of bugs. If you dont want to spen $1700 for the Kleemann module, get the Brabus for $1400.
Or, do what alot of us did and get it lowered via Star Diagnostics for $300.

Star Diagnostics is the hardware/software that the dealers use to make adjustments, programming changes to the vehicle. Since the airmatic suspension is all computer controlled it can be adjusted using the Star Diagnostics. Originally Posted by Fast_SL55

In a nutshell, the dealer or someone with the hardware can make changes to the sensor voltages to make the car go higher or lower. Each sensor has a Min/Max value that it can be set to, so by adjusting those values at each corner you can raise/lower the car.
It takes an hour or two to get everything levelled and proper. If you can find a dealership that is willing to do it, that's your best bet to maintain factory warranty and not have to install any foreign boxes in your car.
There is a member here called SteveMBNL which lowered alot of our cars. He travels around doing custom installs. I think he is in California this week.
