SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Supercharger going out

Supercharger going out
Wierdest thing happened in my 03 SL55 over the weekend. Was driving her kinda hard, and came up on a built mustang cobra (also supercharged) on sunset.....get my *** kicked. Thought maybe cause the mustang was super built. Ran up against my friend's S4....get my *** handed to me....strange again. Realized that the car was SERIOSULY lacking power....noticed that I didn't get the "chrip" from a stop anymore, and if i nailed it from a stop, no traction problems like usual....next day...fired her up...and now she's working fine again.....anyone else experience this or heard of this before? Insite would be appreciated....

Sounds like an intercooler failure. Same thing happened to my S600 I went from runnning the 1/4 at 12.4@116 to 13.6@99. Needless to say I was
p!$$ed! I took it to the dealership and they replaced the necessary parts and I was right back to running my 12.4. They told me that this happens alot to the 600s and the 55s, so much that they stock 3 or 4 in inventory at all times. It was simple warranty work that took 1 day.
Get it fixed and go murder that stang and Audi quick!!!

dealership called and said it was something like a bad bypass/recirculating valve or something in the charger.....whatever...thank god for warranty....time to go hunting for that damn cobra again....

Don't forget to find the S4, I have an 05 and got destroyed by an '03 sl 55, so you shouldn't have a problem teaching him a lesson. You must let him know that merc's are better and FASTER!!!!
