SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Do you push your SL55/SL65 really hard?

Just curious with all SL55/SL65 owners here, do ALL of you or SOME of you push your SL55/SL65 to the max or just when you feel doing like it? I mean does some really push it hard when they drive it or some would tend to go smooth then later hard then smooth again?
FOR SL55 OWNERS ONLY (NO SL65 owners for this question!)
Do some feel irritated knowing that your SL55 is powerful and yet sometimes being outgone by a souped up say for example 350Z, G35 coupe or an EVO sometimes? I know it shouldn't be a comparison its like apples and oranges but just want to know what you have inside. Definitely some have already encountered that. PEACE

yea but, you gotta really mod those crakerboxs, like slam a big **** turbo running 40 some psi with a heavy weight reduction making it so light that it rockets to 0-60 in 3 sec but then you get upto 150+ and they start to top out and your still climbing. All in all at the end of the day you feel good in side owning such a sexy and powerful car such as the sl55/65 that cost tripled of quad the the cost the ricer. That being said dont let some punk in his evo or 350z at a stop light beat you in a race to the next light because he just trying to make himself feel better due to the fact he can't own these cars.

RyE55, to some I'm a ricer and I afforded a SL 55. Anyway, you don't need 40 psi beat a 12 second car unless you want to completely ruin his ego. More like 17 psi on a Supra.

still kinda dumb how a single turbo will do the trick theres nothing sweet about beating someone just cause you have a turbo adding 500 more hp and like I said a supra or any other ricer will never measure up to a sl's comfort, luxury, innovation, style, handling, technology and all around daily driver which seperates euro from rice. I would take a sl65 any day of the week over a 1000 hp supra.

I tend to drive mine pretty hard....but I don't do drags...........I just do't get the point. Its mountain roads and road courses....using the big brakes..........etc
I haven't run into too many street cars that will hang with it. Brilliant car!

Dated 3-series all show/SL55 all go
Never driven hard unless provoked. This one Cobra did give me a run for my money though. Handling wise... the benz is a pig. On straights its a beast.
The way gas prices are now the cars sit in the garage and I take the R6 out.

I drag raced against a buddy of mine's C5 Vette tonight with the SL 55. I beat him out of the hole and won the race by maybe 2 car lengths. We then did a roll on from 20 mph and I beat him again. He has a Borla exhaust on the car. He wanted revenge because I beat him unmercifully in the Supra. I beat him by at least 7 car lengths in the Supra on Thursday so now he collected another *** whipping to go with it... I love spanking those neanderthal domestics.

They really aren't pigs in the handling department. It was OK stock, but definitely improved when I switched to 19s and a bit more rubber. The trick is to adjust your turn in for the weight of the car. With those great brakes you can brake fairly late (w/the left foot of course), and be on the throttle quite early.
I really haven't had much trouble humiliating most street cars on the track (road courses) or on mountain roads.....I took the 55 on a Ferrari club drive a few weks ago and ran away from a gaggle of 550/575/360 on mountain roads, so if you learn what to do with the car, it really will reward you.
