Which is better on a SL 55, Brabus Monoblock VI, Carlsson 1/16 Ultra Light Weight or Lorinser LM-6? All in 19" Which would you get?

The Carlsson's are much more performance oriented and I immediately felt a performance and handling difference when I slapped them on my E55... however... I don't think any rim out there compliments the looks of the SL better than the Brabus VI's.
In any event, after riding on the 20's for a year I'm going to say that the 19's are a better choice...

Mas, how can you be worried about cost? You'll burn $30K in a 6 month trade-in and not blink an eye.

Weight is the number one enemy to performance. Especially unsprung weight (wheels, tires, suspension, brakes).
I believe it's something like every 10lb = 4hp or something silly like that.
Either way though, it's not really HP it frees up, but it allows better handling.

I aggree. The Renntechs are by far the best looking and best performing as far as strength and weight. Great call.

BTW, Ricky, it is generally accepted that for every ONE pound of unsprung weight equals anywhere from 4-7HP. Add a pound and you'll feel like you lose the HP. Take it off and your car will feel faster.

That means, I've saved some 17lb per corner. 68lb overall.
68 * 4 = 272hp

Of course though, that's got to be insanely off. I don't think that takes in for account my kind of situation
