I was told by my RennTech rep that the 20" Monolites won't fit the SL65 (because of the off-set).

Any suggestions for a good alternative, assuming this proves to be true?

Custom forged rims.
That way you can get a set designed specifically to fit your car.

so why not stick with the 19's? there is no gain going to 20. Only a loss of ride, more weight, and more risk of damage to the car. Is all that worth the "look" of a 20" over a 19"?

Do you know how much the 19" SL65 rims weight? I can't remember, and I think the AMG rims name is the Titan.

Gee. That sounds cheap [NOT].

I've since been informed that the 20" Monolite 10-spokes will fit, so I'll probably stick with that.

You could save 40lb or so total by going to HRE Comp's with are about 20lb each...

But those don't go to 20".
I'll keep looking for a 20" rim that is less than stock weight.

I can't believe HRE does not have pictures of any of their competition wheels on their own website. That is a marketing disaster. The lightest wheels made currently are these HRE comps, and of course the Renntech Monolite.

Guys, forget what the rims are, the only tyre size that fits is made by Continental, and they are dire / dangerous / damaging to rid and handling. Stick with 19s and choose the larger choice of decent rubber!
