It was not an SL, but sunman did a conversion in his C class. I am sure that he can give you some tips.

The average cost would be about $20K USD.

Items to be replaced
---------------------
- fuse boxes
- control panel overhead
- ignition switch
- instrument cluster
- head unit
- sound amp
- cd changer
- phone system
- teleaid
- some wood trim
- seat control modules
- all wiring associated

But on the bright side it wouldnt cost much to do the TV and parking !

You would be looking at an empty shell with no trim inside for about a week.

Not at all worth it IMO, too much damn work for little gain.

OUCH! 20K....for that I can trade mine in for an 05!

I guess it's time for me to go ahead with my plan B. I have this portable media player ( http://www.creative.com/products/pmp/demo/zenvision.asp ) that I can make a semi-permanent mount for. It has a big screen so I can see the song information clearly from far and it also has a IR remote control with killer operation angle.

I will post some photos after I have made the mount for it.

Thankfully my 04 has an AUX input in the glove box for me to use so I'm not totally SOL.

Thanks for the replies.

Stick with the D2B. At least it has AUX in.
