SL65 RennTech runs 11.26@123

We had Club Day today at Speedworld "our local track".

Beautiful day;
Temp:77F
Humidity: 21%
Pressure: 30.13 in.
Dew Point: 23°F

Our club, the Scottsdale Exotic Car Club, ran with some other car clubs at the track, including Corvette, Mustang, etc. We had all Benzes and Porsches.

I ran my 996 turbo against one of my buddies who is also a member of the SECC. He has a 2005 SL65, with a RennTech ECU upgrade and TM, he also has the RennTech Carbon Fiber airbox, and BFG Drag Radials. His car kept getting faster as the day went on.

Here's a copy of our slip, that car is incredible, I ran an 11.78 in the 996 and still got spanked

Wish I was there for that man..

So did Len "open it up" or still hold back to keep from getting thrown off the track? A moot point by now I'm sure.. or is he still permitted?

Lou put it down to the floor, nobody said anything. He's done with Firebird, I think in the SL I am too. Speedworld is the way to go.

We missed ya!!!!!

We have a couple more things we are gonna do to the car, but once we are done with it, expect to see us in the high 10's pretty soon. Oh and this will still be without NOS

The only thing faster is the Carrera GT at 11.1 and the Enzo at 11.08.
We'll be taking the Carrera GT to the strip soon to find out just what it can do.

Whoa! You're expecting to run a 11.1

Published figures indicate you should be in the 11.3s

And there are a few others that could beat the 65's time... CCR, MC12, S7 TT, etc.

I've seen the CGT anywhere between 11.4 and 11.0, that thing is so hard to launch, who knows?

The cars you mentioned are very fast, the MC12 is pretty much an Enzo with a two tone paint job. I forgot about the new S7TT, I've never seen any S7 on the street, ever, have you? I think they're really cool cars.

im sure 11.0 is possible, ive seen times around 11.2.

The S7 is sick....1/4 times for that are around 10.7 seconds @ 136 mph
Id love to see that hit the tracks.

There are a few running around on the streets out South Beach... I've seen one in my neighborhood in SF. There is also a MC12 and Koneig*sp* that sound amazing... But somehow, I can not bring myself to love an @$$ as ugly as the MC12 has.

Maybe it needs a set of drag radials to dip into the 10s :p

You've got to love cars like the CGT, Enzo and MC12...they annihilate everything on the dragstrip, then go out and beast on full blown race cars on the road course.

Haha, Yeah. They are some serious pieces of machinery. But after my experience with the Zonda F... There is no other. It's right there with them in terms of performance but when it comes to fit and finish it even out shines the SLR. I mean... we averaged 26MPG if I converted it right And in what other car do you get a 400km speedometer

The Zonda is a monster...you know who makes the motor for that car, it all comes back home eventually; nice to know isn't it!

No mistake who makes it. And the carbon work on the motor was first class. I was contemplating whether to ask them if I could order the AMG Badge so I could make a charm for a chain

It was truly the best driving experience of my life... If you have a chance you really must have a go in one of them

I've never seen one in the US but I saw it this summer when I was in Monaco. WOW!!! The London to Monte Carlo rally was there at the same time, check out what else was there...

Monaco... The Playground of the Uber Rich. However, the yachts are equally impressive

And the only one that I know of in the US is Wycleff Jones and I don't think many go on the private market. When I was reviewing the contract for the F if I'm not mistaken there was actually a clause in there that said you had to express written consent to Pagani to ask whether you could transfer ownership to another. They are serious about their masterpieces and have reason to be.

Ferrari needs something like that

Porsche has something similar with the CGT, if you buy one new from a Porsche dealer, you have to sign a paper that says you will give them the first right of refusal to buy it back from you.

Figured as much, Did you buy yours from a dealer or private party?

They don't need it since they know you can't really drive it anyway.
Hahahahahahaha... I don't know if that was meant to be sarcastic but I really enjoyed my 360 and I put 23K on it in a year. No problems what so ever and I drove it like it was meant to be driven.

And I'm dreaming of a Nero Metallico on Crema Christmas :p

I know the feeling... It makes me sad when I think about it. I remember seeing a picture of an guy from the UAE pulling out 4 Murcielagos from his 170 footer

Bentley Downers Grove, right outside of Chicago, had 300 mile on it.

That's a sweet looking ride, I hope you drove it like you stole it!

That's the only thing with these type of cars. You never really know what happened during those first 300 miles and from that SLR vs E55 video it makes me scared to think what goes on during some of those test drives when they are only just starting their life. Now, when I go to test drive something of course I try it out. But, if I'm buying it then it makes me wonder.

I did But, I got tired of it after a while and switched to the "dark side" :v

And there were swirl marks galore on the thing I will never let another person wash my cars as long as I live...

Yeah... Seems a bit weak if you ask me :p

So... Does that cover the 5-Figure Valve Adjustment @ 20K?

How many do you have currently?
