Since you have a Benz, you know the feeling. There is nothing like Benz. ( and certanly not like an SL )

The Gallardo has 4wheel drive ( from AUDI ), a 10 cyl N/A high rev. engine, screaming exhaust, noisy cabin etc . She is like a Spanish senorita, she has temperament, is a corner junkie, wants be driven fast, and is somewhat unpredictebul. She needs an experienced driver, unless you only want to drive her up and down the ocean bouleward, and is more or less only for fun, no good for everyday use

The SL 65 has a lot off grunt, ( specs widely known ) loads of power, is an everyday car, offers a lot af drivers apeal, AND CAN BE DRIVEN BY YOUR WIFE. ( if you let her )

Its also a matter of what you want people to see. Do you want the attention that a Gallardo offers, or do you go for the more discrete image of the SL65.

Personaly i love the understated, to be the underdog , and ocasionally surprise the surroundings. No showing off or bragging here.

ferrari f430
the gallardo isnt that enjoyable to drive.
i drove the **** outta 1. its very fast and sticks well but there is no real connection w/ the car.

if u get the gallardo make sure u wait till the updated version comes out, new wheels, more power and a bunch of other little changes
i think it should b very soon, maybe jan or early spring

The 06's with the changes are already out. You can get the SE which is limited ed. cosmetic stuff or the regular 06 that has all the gear ratio changes and extra hp. This was the car I had it narrowed down with and went with the SL65. If the Gallardo Spyder was out (a few more months) it might have been a different story. Ultimately I wanted something I could drive anywhere and park anywhere without issue. Obviously to get this you have to give up the exotic styling. The Sl is however the faster staight line car. 430's are still over sticker and not worth the premium over a Gallardo to me.

Get the Gallardo! As a kid I always dreamed of owning a Lambo someday, the Gallardo price point makes it a good buy... I agree that the 430 is still way over priced, wait a year or two on the 430 and pick it up for a reasonable price.

Purchase the gallardo and have some good "Road Track" fun! You cant do that in the Sl65, way to heavy!

BTW: I am purchasing mine in about a 2 months. Just bought a Sl55 on a whim last week and I need to give the Gallardo a a few extra months before it can call my garage home!

I agree on this car too. I have been flipping a coin now for months between the DB9 and the Gallardo! Tough call, both nice cars in their own ways!

You should Definitely check out Momo Edition!! you have two option colors, Pearl Yellow and Pearl Red With CF Theme, Color matched Calipers, Two tone Interior, and Chrome Rims....Aftermarket Exhaust.... The car sounds really Awesome... Little louder than regular Gallardo or Gallardo SE...

Orange County of Lamborghini have the cars in their showroom....Maybe All of them were Sold... If you are really interested, You should go check it out...

Oh, that Black Gallardo looks Good with CF interior....but the rims... oh well if that's what you like, Go for it!! Is it 2005?

Since you can now get a "Nearly New" SL65 for 160K to 165K I think it is even a better deal.

As many have said, it is all in what yuo are looking for. I fyou want flashy, Gallardo, If you want raw power and stealth go with the SL65.

I have had both and my daily driver is the SL65.

hehe not the worst problem in the world to have is it ?

i have a friend of mine with sort of the same problem, his choice is just between a 911 Turbo (997) pre-order or a Gallardo. And since he would also use the car as a daily driver, he ended up with a pre-order on the new 911 Turbo which is out overhere in July 06. Till then he'll be driving his Cayenne Turbo it seems.

Id go with the SL65 if its a daily driver, i think you'd get tired of that much "race" in a Gallardo for every day use.

Gallardo for weekend use, SL for everyday use...

What do you guys do for a living btw ? Just curious

Have a nice evening ya'all

Hehe probably not in California and the likes, but here in Scandinavia, we get snow in the winter, rain in the fall and sun in the summer... So we have it all, i dont think a Gallardo would cope as well as a Porsche would...
