SL73? What is it?
Have any of you guys heard of any SL73? I was told it had a SLR front end and an SL rear end and it is a factory car US and cost over $300K new. It is yellow with 9000 miles. What is it? what is it worth? and what would you pay for it?
A friend who is a car dealer was offered the car and has to make up his mind in the AM.
Help?

I think that there was a thread where this specific car was discussed a week or two ago. If it is legit, it is a one-off or less than a handful were made. It may derive its name from the 7.3L AMG V12 -- which is one helluva motor. I'm in the world supercar business, and even if it it was legit with decent mechanicals, build, and interior I wouldn't touch it unless I had a customer come in and specifically request that we find him one....

its a 129 chassis, 7.3 liter v12 (same as zonda s)
it came w/ sl 2piece amg wheels, it also had amg dual square tip exhaust
i saw 1 on coldwater and mulholland
there was also 1 in dupont (for sale), might have been the same 1 i saw cause it was 310 are code
btw,
there are no 230 chassis 73's
there is one yellow sl55 w/ 65 bumper driving around w/ the 73 badges
, its from florida, i saw it in LA though

Yep, that sounds more like it. BTW NOT the same as the Zonda motor! That's like saying an SL55 motor is the same as the one in the SLR; or that an SLK55 has the same motor as the Kleeman SLK55 K8 -- you know what I mean?

its got 525hp and 550lb/ft
most likely the deficit is b/c of airbox restrictions
does it have different tuning and cams?
