Just got a New Addition!

I had heard about the Aston Martin AM V8 Vantage several years ago, and decided that I had to have one. First on the list.........I took delevery this afternoon. AM pulled off a class act....absolutely stunning, fast and an unbelievable sound!!

I was going to get one but our dealership was offering more than 911 price territory, In Kuwait the new one costs you about $142,000; Then I got myself a special order Designo SLK55 that costs less and is faster; Anyway congrats on the new Aston its a stunner and drive safe maybe I might get one in the near future!

I wasn't sure about this car when I ordered it....but it is such a quality piece. Everything about the car is just so well done.

The instrument cluster looks more like a fine watch than a speedo/tach. The front mid engine config has it handling (and more importantly feeling) as good as any 911 that I have driven.

Congrats! I went to the unveiling at my local Aston dealer when it came out. I love the looks. My neighbor gets his DB9 Volante in a week. The new DBS?(vanquish replacement) pics I am seeing look sweet as well. They sure know how to make a good looking car. How does it sound? What color did you get?

Yeah, it certainly is a beauty. And very drivable too, unlike the DB9 (IMO). It could use a tad more power, but all in all the car feels very balanced. Congrats Dino!

I love that color. Almost looks like Agean Blue. I noticed the tach needle turns CCW. Getting used to that?
Sweet ride.

Thanks for all the compliments. I had a hunch about this car....and I think that I was right. I actually have the first 2 cars....both spec'd the same. My second arrives in ~3 weeks.

This one is for sale for $159K........if anyone's interested. The Vantage is definitely a keeper. It has to be one of the best looking/performing cars out there right now.

Not a bad price for a very unique car...did you buy two to sell one for profit or were your original intentions different

My hobby is car stuff. Over the last few years there have been so many great cars that this has become a bit of fun. I've done similar things with 360s, the SL65, I've got a F430 spyder coming....and that MB Gulling. This is only the first time I've done 2.....as I think this one is a keeper!!

That back bay has some great lighting and AC. That's where I do some detailing. You can't see it but to the left of the SL is a Ferrari...they were both getting a little TLC yesterday!

It starts at 107K. With the options I have it brings it to 123K + taxes/license...I was 130K out the door.

BMW M850i Gran Coupe
I test drove a VantageV8 in Porsche Safety Yellow a few weeks ago and was very impressed. I was a bit surprised at the size, when it was next to a DB9, as I had visualized the car being larger from the pictures. But hands down, the absolute best feature was the exhaust sound. I understand that Aston placed a valve in the exhaust system that opens wider under heavier acceleration. The car has an incredible ability to be quiet or not.

Enjoy your new piece !

It is just a bit smaller than a 911!! It appears much bigger in photos...but in person it has kind of an elegant 'street fighter' look....and the exhaust note is to die for!!!
