need some help w/ sl65's 19 in' wheels

I was looking for a set of sl65's 19 inch wheels and came across with this website.

www.tirerack.com

Has anyone ever bought from them or heard about them? Are their wheels really produced by AMG, or possibly fakes from china? Thanks for any info in advance.

(a link to the set I was looking at:

Tirerack? Nope. Never heard of them... Must be a real small time operation.

Any idea how I could verify if their wheels are indeed from AMG as they claimed? Thanks.

Tire Rack is very established and very reputable. The board at

http://www.benzworld.org/forums/merc...hnical-forums/

includes a forum with a very responsive and well-informed enthusiast/support type (Luke) from Tire Rack. He will be able to answer any questions. They would not risk alienating customers (and suppliers) by misrepresenting products.

They are a great company. I have bought a bunch of tires from them with no problems.

They are legit.

BTW, I planned to get these 19 in' on my current sl500(04). I think they make the sl look lot more aggressive than the standard blender blades do. Also thought this could increase the car's resale value by a bit, or at least make it quicker to sell as I'm planning to do so soon.

But, what are the possible downsides of doing this? How much should I expect the total cost associated with this process to be? Would it affect my warranty in any way?

Thanks!!

19" AMG Double Spoke 2pc CHROME

I have a set of genuine 19" AMG double spoke rims in chrome with Bridgestone Pontenza tires mounted and balanced. This set is used and came off of a 2005 SL55. These are original German AMG that where chromed. Fronts are 19 X 8.5 with 255/35/19 tires and rears are 19 X 10 with 285/30/19 tires. The chrome is excellent with less than 9,000 miles on tires. If you are interested send me a PM.
