Count Down to Car
Dealer says he'll have the car ready to deliver next Friday, June 30th. I ordered the car 4 months ago.
Starting to lose sleep thinking about the car.
Have decided to transport the car down from the dealer instead of drive it the 240 miles back home.
Lots of pictures will follow...
Count down has begun....

I cant imagine how many times I would hit
a new personal speed record in Utah.
Here in OC all I can do is hit the toll road.
Just the thought of all that open pavement.
Yikes

Zero hour plus 3. The SL55 goes in for K2 on monday. I drive my 997TT while a good friend drives the SL55 to the tuners, bout an hour awat. We hope to test drive a Noble while we are there. Friend gets to drive the TT back with me as a passenger. He gets his 996TT when we get back and we drop them both off at the dealer, him for service, mine because they want it back for a Wednesday night introduction party. I'll get it back later in the week.
Pics as asked for. More later in the off topic area, don't want to hijack this thread.

Congrats on the ride. I am really interested in your opinion of the two, as drivers cars, over the next couple of months. See which you like best.

Yes,
They are a dealer now...
They are doing the install and maintaining full factory warranty.
If they weren't.. I would buy from you guys. Just like I did the Avus rims.
And.. the rims are fantastic, look great, super light weight. Very pleased.
Thanks Adam

I'm having the Performance Package 4 installed in two weeks
![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
RennTech is apparently working on a replacement I/C pump for the 55k engines. From what I was told it is not too far from being released. I had inquired about the Johnson pump (used in the Kleemann and Evo kits) and was talked out of, apparently to work with the car's plumbing step down rings must be used which introduce a new bottleneck into the system.

Two very different cars with two very different jobs to do. 997TT is a beast and makes speed in a very deceptive manner. SL55 is a powerful and understated elegant Grand Tourer. 997TT is a freekin monster and I bet you could feel a dime on the road in sport mode.

Thought about doing the throttle body too but decided to hold off.

The throttle body upgrade does not apply to the 07. It has been upgraded from the factory.
Yes, they do have the Intercooler ready... very expensive.

Can't wait to see those pics my man.
Only thing I worry about is those mods with no cooling upgrade. The constant near 100+ temps down there I think may give you some problems eventually.
Johnson pump works great on my system. I can hit it pretty hard consistantly and she never goes over 100c. Of course it's not the best setup, but she moves some serious fluid through the system compared to the stocker. I forget the figures, but it's crazy compared.
Just some input for my fellow Utah Benz brotha. I so wanna be YOU!!!
****just read that you are shooting up to Lindon. Just like you I am usually strapped to the business, but lemme know when you are coming up and I will try to shoot down. Would love to shake your hand....and stare at the car of course. They have a black SLR on the floor, maybe they will let us take it out and beat it.
