back view on room mirror with windblocker up.
it was 2 p.m. , not cloudy.
you can see a car faintly.
( please remember this is with double mesh.
Using single mesh , you can see back more clearly.
I will take a picture tomorrow. )

the red light is SOS , useless here.

when you push window switch strongly , big side window and
small window will be open together. if you push it again ,
big side window will be closed , but small window needs pushing on untill it is closed fully.

sound file

I am not good at making Multimedia file.

To get a sound file , I used sony dsc-f707 digital camera with worrying about the file size. I installed the camera under the car.
And I made idling ,going up to 4000 rpm ,idle , going up ....( the gear was at P position , and more than 4000 rpm I could not get). The recording time is only 1 min.

But I don't know how to upload it(the file size is bigger than
permitted here).

I hope any body can receive it from me and
upoad it on behalf of me. ( If you can, please let me know
your e-mail address).

my answers

Davidegai ,

1.Yes, there is rear parktronic led . I will edit my previous
posts. The reason why I could not see came from my room
mirror angle . .. and I was too much preocupied with s600
which has it on the ceiling. .....How foolish I was....I am getting
older ... Thanks a lot.

2. Yes, you are right . Two mesh screens can be seperated.
.I did not know it at all. Thanks again!!!!!

3. I have 3 mesh nets for the trunk. I tried anchoring them
but not easy.
I hope somebody show me pictures.

JFawwaz

1. my overall opinion- SL 55 is the best sports car with reasonable
price.

2. mirror folding - I saw other ones. same.
I tried sl500 also . same.

------------

Thanks for your opinions.

Thumbs up Thanks for the pics

Thank u Nightsea for the pictures. It helped me uderstand more about the car. I always had questions about the options of the car. Now I had some of them that cleared up. Just wanted to ask u about the spare tier. In your case, what u will do if u had a flat tier?

Thanks again for the Pics.

Davidegai

Thanks for your teaching !!!!!

I found it and edited my previous posts.

SL55lova

When I have a flat tire , I am supposed to use two things;
tire sealant and air pump . These are supplied and you can see
them at the above picture showing tools.

In the plastic bag at the left side, there is a sealant.
Black box is an air pump.
When I use it, my max speed should be 80km/h .

Of course I never tried it yet.

At the center arm rest , I have a nokia . It is useless here.
So I am going to replace the nokia with a motoroler phone
next week(maybe together with linguatronic).

As I understand it has many functions together with speaker phone . Mic is located near to SOS button above room mirror.

Center arm rest has two seperated section;
one is for the phone and some coins(the below picure
does not show the coin holder clearly),
the other is just a box below it and has an air-conditioning (
I like this function. No picture here)

BTW , my car has garage door open remote controller
installed at the bottom of room mirrow. It has 3 buttons.
Though never tried yet, this is good for Americans, I think.

Nets suggestions for NightSea

Nets (suggestions to NighSea)

I did not have time to take some pictures, however I will try do describe how they are attached:

There are 3 nets:

one small rectangular one, a large rectangular one and yet an other rectangular one with one side being much smaller than the other. They are not to catch fish!

The small rectangular one is to hold maps and other small objects and should be assembled on the left hand side of the passenger leg area. That is to say the right aspect of the central tunnel.

The other two fit in the trunk. The larger one (with the sides similar in size) is attached to the bottom of the trunk.

The one with dissimilar sides is slightly more tricky. It is supposed to be vertical, like a ping pong net. It should be attached to the REAR WALL of the trunk, in other words inside the trunk, the wall closest to you as you open the trunk door.

It is meant to hold objects that are very important to the German culture, like beer cans. So you should not insult them about the stupidity of this little net, otherwise they loose face and start acting in a most irrational manner!

Great information NightSea, thanks. I did wonder how much of the car you were going to dismantle to show us. Perhaps you's like to take off the cylinder heads for us to have a look inside...

Seriously, I'd appreciate a picture of the badge on the engine with the name of the guy who built it....

NightSea,

the roof should be about right. If it were not tight enough, you would certainly hear a very loud hiss while driving

If you're going to install the carkit that works with the car, the only phone that would work in Korea is the Mercedes branded v60c. Is that phone even available in Korea?

Davidegai,

Thanks a lot for kind explanation of how to attach those nets.
I will try soon , not to insult German culture with my stupidity.

But in addition to 3 nets I have another one already attached on the left leg side of passenger seat. It is a good place to store spare stockings and condoms for sexy legs.(this is the culture I wanna have )

So I have 4 nets. (maybe a small net was given as a transparant cool underpants :p )

Regarding the roof , as you mentioned, the gap on ceiling ,which the above picture shows , may be normal as I don't hear any
serious noise when driving .

blueSL

You like to see the inside of something as long as it has a hole ....You may have some talents of Peeping Tom

I will take some picture under the skirt (hood ) to give you a peep
show.

freakinfreak

V60 is not available here. As I understand , an old motorola phone
can be operated with COMMAND system . Anyway, I will report soon.

And here are pictures of windblocker (One mesh only stands
up).

My old SL600 has the same feature and it's easy to do if the car has ABC (in the SL600s case, adaptive damping) and is designed to allow you to raise the car if you are going over an uneven road surface, like a ploughed field or a loading ramp.

I once saw a demo of the SL with all four wheels planted firmly on the floor. A computer attached fooled the electronics into thinking the car was actually on a very rough road and the result that the SL was bucking around on the ground like a fairground ride or bucking bronco demo. Very impressive. The height thing just makes the shocks expand using the hydraulics to raise the car by a few inches, great for preserving that front apron in good condition.

height

SL 55 has a button which has two red leds.
It is at the gear shift area where many optional function
buttons are.

It has 3 selections available.

1. no red led- low position
2. one red led on - middle position
3. two red leds on - high position

The speed of lowering or raising the car is quite fast.
