Man... I am sooo torn over the colors.. I am definately ordering the Berry Red interior.. BUT the exterior color I am not sure on:

Just ordered my Red interior today, with Obsidian Black exterior.
Any black or silver looks great with it.
Also ordered the chestnut wood to lighten up interior further because dash will be black on berry interiors. I have black maple already on my ML55 and there's not alot of grain on it, looks too much like plastic.
Question about the wheels; the salesman said car only comes with turbine wheels. He has no way to order the AMG five spoke on the build order computer. Any other wheels are aftermarket,so I hope you're right about MB dumping turbine wheels.

Personally, I like the multi-spoke ("turbine") but the AMG 5 spoke are certainly an attractive alternative. Fomr the "build your own" on the web-site though, it doesn't look like they're available, though you salesman cannot order anything else. Some sort of disconnect somewhere....

A friend said he saw an Sl55 in Capri blue in Houston last night (he will go back to the apartment garage to take pictures for us) and it had the turbine wheels.
Obviously a VIP car, but if VIPs can order the wheels, so should we be able to.
He also said that the turbine wheels actually look sporty / clean in person (too me they look too busy / elegant).

I seem to remember somewhere that someone said that US would get 5 spoke as default, and no-cost option to change to multispokes

I have seen that sl55 as well. I was at the dealership when they received it and two days later saw it at PF Changs. It actually looks really nice in that color. I was told that car sold for 185k. Personally I don't care much for those wheels and I wish they would offer something more along the lines of the launch edition's cars wheels.
