How soon do you plan to get the car tuned?

Good luck, hope it goes well and will look forward to future updates.
Next few weeks it should be tuned and ready to go. I have a 10mile piece of road we are checking out that is two lanes wide and never has any cars, so we will block it off and go for a spin.

I think if it can handle 740lbft whats another 100 or so lbft going to do and I think these tuners (kleemann and renntech) do alot of RD to make sure the cars last.

With 1500 miles my SL65 put down 525 at the rear wheels.

France2112,

Why don't you join us in November for the November 4th and 5th Atlanta get together. I will have my stock SL65. We can see who gets down the strip first!

553 is more than the Kleemann SL65 that we tested last year at the Atlanta Dyno runs. On the dyno where my stock SL65 put down 525 his Kleemann put down 549 I believe. It was a while ago. This also included change exhaust.

These numbers were not corrected.

As for the tach read. The first time we ran the SL65 we had similar problems. I will do this from memory ...... When you pull the cover off it exposes one of the engine control modules. We were able to get a reading off of one of those wires by insulating it from the other wires. We were able to take a thin piece of rubber and isolate each wire until we found the one that we could pick up the reading on. For some reason just taping the wires did not allow us to get the reading. I have heard other people use a piece of cardboard to insulate the wire for the tap.

Ok, that's what I remember.......

Hope this helps!
