Congratulations for getting the SL65! If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it? If you don't want to tell me then no problem. Enjoy your new beast!! I would love to drag a stock SL65 and see how I do. Still looking for one on the roads where I live and can't find one. As a matter of fact I really can't find anyone with the passion to race. No big deal but I can't believe it is so hard to find someone.

Yes.
He's a straight enthusiast at heart. He used to work for Evosport. He's working on some custom carbon fiber intakes (I believe he shared his plans with vrus, I don't remember exact details).

He used to have the most powerful C32 in the world if I remember right. Had all the Evolution Power Packages (that he helped design) as well as some prototype stuff. Wickedly nice stuff.

He is a great guy and lets just say I was not planning on buying a car since my car just came back from kleemann in mid june and I didnt even own it a year yet but he made me a great deal and well its now in my drive way. Ricky sent you a PM also thinking maybe AMGBITURBO or BITURBOAMG?? Where can I post pics? I have some of the new 65 with the new tint and wheels on it and of the 55 I never got up. Since I picked up the car I have been attacked by honda civics flying by me wanting to race, my wife just laughs. last night a guy in a new si was all over me trying to get me to race. Like I told my wife if I get a ticket its going to be for racing something good. I am hoping to run in to some of the cars around here. we have a few cars I want to race a CGT, f430, viper (1300rwhp) and I have seen a few ford gt's rolling around as well. I raced a viper in my e55 a few weeks ago and poor guy was very sad when i took him by a car plus it was pretty good. I dont think I have a chance with that other viper, my dyno guy told me he dynoed the car at like 12-1300rwhp and it is like an 8second car so i dont i could win but then again i would still try. Not sure how i would do with the CGT or ford gt?? The f430 i dont worry about but then again it may be super fast?

My dyno guy said they took it out on the highway to 180mph and the car cant grip until 4th or 5th gear? I think it is a twin turbo?

What do you mean by tune it? Will the tranny be able to take it? Was your E55 stock?

By the way, you have one of the nicest cars on the road. Congratulations and enjoy.

No e55 was a k2 car and when stock with 1100k miles on it I ran it to 155mph no problem but ran out of road and the car was not delimited then. The tranny should be able to handle it but I dont know. They retune the ecu and tcu. They say they get the car up to 690hp and 840lbft seems to be the same number from kleemann and renntech. I think I will go kleemann since I know Cory and he is a good guy.

I took my stock P-car to an indicated 180. The wind noise was crazy but car felt planted. Progress noticeably slowed past 160 but with enough road I don't doubt I would've seen 190, though it was extremely hot so I could be wrong. 220mph is a whole different league though.

How soon do you plan to get the car tuned?

Good luck, hope it goes well and will look forward to future updates.

Hmmm everywhere they wrote that they limit the torque due to the tranny, what do you say? Arent you worried that it can cause any damage?
