Its not about how fast it can go.
Its all about how it handles. Rims = unsprung weight.

Can someone put some numbers to what is light and what's not?
How about a range give or take some for the tyres. My rear tires are 295 30 19 and weighs about 25kg on a 3 piece wheel...

The three wheels mentioned in the first post (which btw was over a yr ago!) are all considered heavy wheels. Those 19s are all in the same range. I can't say exactly, but they are around 28-32 pounds each. If you want those in chrome, then you will gain a lil extra weight.

*To me* a light weight wheel for 19 inches, let's say 19x9 front and 19x10.5 rear, the fronts should be less than 23 pounds and the rears less than 24 pounds.

There are a few wheel makers out there tha make pretty light wheels, such as CCW, and I think Kinesis makes light ones too. HRE just came out with a competition series, but they must be super expensive.

I too wish Volk made some super strong 1-pce forged wheels for Benzos.

Unsprung Weight

Yes, very true. The point of having lighter wheels is to get rid of or lower unsprung weight. Brake components, wheels, tires, and some even consider the rear axle, rack and pinion, and differntial unsprung weight. Basically unsprung weight moves when the wheel moves. Therefore, if you have lighter wheels, you need less power to move them.
