The M3 in that video was a CSL.
There is no way in hell that an M3 will beat an SL55. Even my slightly modified (ecu, air filters) CLK500 beat an M3 top end. The M3 doesn't stand a chance hanging with an SL55 at any speed.
Sorry but this guy definitely seems like a troll. See how passionate he is about the M cars? And for an SL55 to lose 9 lengths to an M6 either means his supercharger shut off, his car is a lemon, or (the most likely of the 3) he is BSing.

05 SL 55 AMG, 01 Turbusa/8.43 @ 183..1/4 mi.
On the -55,
I would think a simple "remap"/"flash" ain't gonna give ya much without some hard parts changing.............like:
1. Crank Pulley + Remap
2, Throttle body + Remap
3. 2nd Intercooler Upgrade + IC Pump Upgrade
That would net you some serious additional HP........like +70 or so, maybe more........
A simple flash ain't enough if ya want to feel a true difference........
(In My Humble Opinion)

.Thats an ///M3 for gods sake ! and whats wrong with civic's,one of the best sellers worldwide 
Add a supercharger to a civic and it will be faster than my SL,i'll catch him at higher speeds..yeah right !

On the -55,

but i wouldnt want to mess up with warranty issues,i've heard from my friends that the warranty is really worth it and they recommended that if i go with an extended warranty if the option is given. They told me that i'll need a DOZEN of fuel pumps and several superchargers for the next three years ! I believe he stated that the design of the fuel pump is the problem (BOSCH).I'm actually thinking of fitting lamboghini style doors..what do you think guys ??

Its very odd that the CLS55 AMG was quicker on that track than Porsche GT3, M3, and SL55. If you look at Top Gear times, SL55 only managed 1.33.2! Are they saying CLS55 is much, much faster on track than SL55. This is impossible, the conditions had to be different on these runs or its a typo. For example, check out Evo's times from Bedford Autodrome below where non CSL M3 is faster by almost 6 seconds and SL55 is obviously much faster than a CLS55 which is expected based on common sense:
Porsche GT3 RS: 1.23.85
BMW M3 CS: 1.29.80
Mercedes SL55 AMG: 1.30.05
Mercedes CLS55: 1.35.50
The Top Gear times for CLS55 has to be a typo.
