6K Miles On The Clock Today....OMG!!
On my '05 SL55.........have I killed the resale value?????
Wifey and I were house-hunting and the miles/time got away from us...................
Car has had 1 oil change at 3500.............will wait to 7K for the next one, in spite of the fact that the display says we are 19 days overdue for a Type "A" service..........

You should go into Service A after 1 year regardless of mileage
6K miles will not kill the resale coz these cars depreciate like crazy anyways. I bought my car new 95K in Oct '05 and I would be lucky to get 65K trade today.

Yeah, but then the dealership will sell you a car they make money off of, and then sell your car for 10 G more than they gave you. The depreciation is bad, but the scam is even worst.

Also, if you look at the auction prices, you can see the true depreciation of our cars.
With that said, I'm leasing my next car coz I don't want to deal with this depreciation crap.

Congrats on your fine purchase, enjoy it in good health. The SL65 is a steal for the prices they're going for these days. I was tempted by one, but the shiney red SLK begged me to take it home instead.

Dude, don't worry, I'm just bustin' your chops
Just enjoy the beast and the open air. Don't worry about the mileage. It's not a Ferrari or Lambo. These cars are meant to be driven.

Kevin,
Just took a good look at Your car..........if ever the term "Sleeper" could be applied/defined............yer car is it, IMO.....i.e. a car that will eat almost anything on 4 wheels before the poor unfortunate in the other lane even knew what was happening....................
Dave
P.S. Before I "Officially" went into retirement, I drove an E55 that was in our shop for service.............The acceleration convinced me to get a Merz.
