OK… I’ve been search for a Sl55 Blk on red for while now. Just found one..!! It’s at a dealership, so my question is… From experiences what kind of offer should I offer them? With out them giving me the old salesmen BS remakes? What price would be a good deal? Every input and opinion will be greatly appreciated

I think around 73,000$ will be a fair price on that car.

I knew someone was going to ask me that, a matter of when. Didnt I read the warranty runs out in December 07? High 70s is a risk, especially on 03,04 SLs. I would be very weary on the ABC system especially given the mileage.

Can you go into a bit more detail? What problems pop up with ABC? Especially given the mileage...this car only has 25k, is that considered high mileage for a 55?

We have seen and heard clients complaining about the ABC suspension being uneven. Sometimes the dealer has to change the struts, sometimes flush the system and some even changed the ABC unit.

Focus on the warranty issue.

Unless they throw in the MBZ Starmark Extended warranty.
Keep shopping. Lots of 55`s out there.
Maybe not the red interior.

My Ex has the Red in her SLK320. It does not wear that well.
Seats and shifter wear very quick.

For Mid to upper 70`s you should be able to get a 2005
with about those miles or less.
Extra year of warranty is way worth that effort.

As it sits. Offer $ 69,500.00.

FYI:
So far my 2005 has been flawless. I am at 34K miles.

Starmark Warranty.

Its worth between $ 5-7K on this car for coverage
to 100K miles.

One year Starmarked with up to 1oo,ooo miles should be thrown in free to you and it costs the dealership around a grand. Going out more than a year is what will cost more.. I somewhat recall being quoted like $1700 for each additional year after the first Starmarked year not to exceed 1oo,ooo miles regardless of years. I don't think it's called Starmark anymore though.

Just paid 4 grand for 2 years on top of the 1 tear they threw in.I paid 81000 for my SL.It was an 04, mint ,with 8800 miles. Not a fricking scratch anywhere.I don't think I got a wonderful deal but fair considering there are not a large amount of 04s with low miles that are as clean as this was.

Autobaun Motors is overpriced so becareful. I dont live to far from them and went there a few times to check out cars and they are usually $10k if not higher than other dealers. If you can get them to bring the price down out the door for below $70k for sure.

Pay their price if you like the car. Get them to throw in Starmark......and start enjoying yourself.
