SL65 puts down OK numbers

We had a SL65 come by the dyno this weekend and we finally got it to dyno right...didnt do any torque figures, but HP wise she put down 545rwhp...does this sound right for stock? I think he told me he had the Renntech upgrade, but if that's the case, I was thinking it would've put down more. Anyways, we're just getting our feet wet with the MB stuff, so hopefully we'll see some more stuff come through soon. Please feel free to discuss

Mine put down 490 w/o tune, 560 with. Hot air reduced hp numbers (~100F).

Sounds about right... Most 65s are between 500 and 525 depending on the dyno and between 540 and 560 with a Tune.

The 100 HP claims on a 65 are BS. The biggest change comes in the removal of the torque limitation in 1st and 2nd gear and the smoothed out torque curve across the RPM range.

Thanks for the info...i figured their claims were a little off, just not that much ...he's coming back again in a few weeks and we'll get the torque next time...im thinking high 600's torque.

My car put down 553whp stock and with some minor work ( no ecu or tuning at all) we put down 565whp. we are going in again tomm morning to try again as we have tweaked a few things. i have had no luck with the lbft reading. i have two sets of instructions and neither one works. it sucks because i would love a lbft reading and just cant find one. hopefully tomm we can get close to 570whp then it will be time for some ecu tuning.
