Big,
I would start with any local car clubs... Word of mouth helps much more in this case than the yellow pages.
Yes... like the previous poster says... I would NEVER let anyone touch my car.
Initially I hit deep wipe scratches with #2500 sandpaper... Then buff, rotory, and then Orbital with medium, and then fine foam pads.
Products I use are various compounds, micro compounds, and pure wax products, that I have tested, and used in the years I've had this obsession.
Washing and drying techniques are very important to keep from redamaging the finish.
I recommend only washing with a Natural (real) deep sea sponge. Never a mit or towel. Use more than one bucket one to rinse the sponge after doing a section at a time.
Drying is tricky... Chamois scratch... Water blades can be very dangerous. Take the hose and remove the nozzle, let the water sheet of the car get everything wet at once. Most of the water will run off, then blot dry not wipe... You can use Bounty paper towels a whole roll shoud do.. You can also use a blower.
You can do it yourself sure... But I would suggest this ONLY if you know what you are doing... I have been showing cars since I was 16 years old, and I made my share of mistakes learning... It is not my suggestion to learn on your $100k car! If you don't have the ablity, find the right place, and learn how to hand was properly to keep from damaging the new finish...
Best Of Luck!

See your Mercedes dealer
"Pro Guard" detail inside and out.
Costs about $150. Lasts approx. 3 months.
I've done it many times and
never had any complaints about the finished product.
I'm very fussy and I own only black cars.
My service advisor is Marcia Reymann at
Mercedes of Pompano. I-95 and Copans Road
954 943 5000 or 800 639 2369.
All the best,
Bear

Ask your Mercedes Service Advisor to do a
