Kleemann problem?

My SL65 is in service now,car was very unstable and dangerous at speed.
Techs determined the Kleemann dif went bad (burnt oil, noise ,etc).
They have to remove the unit and ship it back to Kleemann (installed in November '06,so still under warranty) to let them determine the damage and cause.
Unfortunately ,I'm stuck with the labor (easy over $2k),which leaves me with a little bit of sour taste, especially after getting stuck with the cost of labor and parts last year when the headers in G55 cracked and had to be replaced (3 months out of warranty).
I'm paying a lease on SL65 and I keep driving loaners(C,ML) way more often then normally expected .(During Winter had ongoing problems with overboost after installing ECU,very annoying when trying to get away from an occasional Mustang or being blown off by a riced up Accord.)
Waiting to see how Kleemann responds...

you were only out 3months of warranty on your headders and they didnt help! i no it say in black and white 1 year but still. i think they would want to help. one of my MBs went out of warranty probably about 3 months and my window stoped workin the service writer still covered me. i will always remember that about this dealer and go back there first evertime. kleemann needs to reconize customer service also. im glad im with adam cuzz he gives me the garantee not some greedy tuner.

I wanted to improve the traction and Kleemann unit is more aggressive.
The traction was significantly better, especially when combined with Michelin PS2.

I don't have a SL but I do have a CLK55 (W208) with a Kleemann supercharger and ECU retune. I just got my car back from having the motor repaired (10 weeks). I cracked the ringland on the #6 piston. The car definetly went lean as all 8 pistons have a black spot burned into the top of the piston. Kleemann has found every reason to fault something other then thier parts. Bad gas (just tested and it was 91.9 octane), crack in the intake hose or maybe I "drive the car too hard". Yeah...I loved that one! I am very displeased with Kleemann and would probably not use any of their motor parts again.

Not much help to you but atleast your not alone!
