SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: new SL55 Owner...
Also if anyone knows how much the services cost Id be grateful Im not worried but I was looking thorugh the service guide in my S550 and I saw the price of front rotors on an E class AMG was $900 but there was nothing for the SL AMG. I imagine most things will cost more than the S550 but thats been relatively cheap so far, but I've only got 6800 miles on it. Anyways thanks for any info
Also where do you think these will bottom out in 3-4 years? My dad just sold his 95 SL600 he bought new for over 130K for around 15K...yikes...but I know at worst i dont think i could lose more than 30K in 2-3 years

Congrads on the car...
I think that most of us just love the car so much that the devaluation is just accepted as the price of owning this car... I think you would lose at least 20k in 2 years, if not more...
The 2009 will have have CLS headlights, and a grill that resembles the SLK... Personally I think it a mistake. The hood has a ridge down the middle, and I think it ruins the lines...
This version I feel is destined to be a classic as the gullwing was.
2013 will be the completely new car.
A extended warranty is a MUST with these cars. I have one to 100,000mi or 5 years. My car has 5,000mi on it Lucky to have it.
The rotors are the same part, I believe... I had gotten prices of $1,000 per rotor.
Good Luck with the car... And let us see some pictures, and keep us posted on how you are doing with it.
Best,

The SL's do not follow the same model life as the S Class, and the rest.
If you will
The 113 class ran from 1963 to 1971
The 107 Chassis Ran the longest from 1971 To 1989! 18 Years!!
The R129 Chassis Of course ran from 1990 to 2003... 13 Years... There is increased pressure of the competition, but Lets hope our cars do last at least as long.
Best,
