SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Is a Black Series SL inevitable?

Is a Black Series SL inevitable?
I've read very little to substantiate my belief that there must be a black series SL coming down the pike....anyone heard anything concrete? any details?

Not for the current chassis, I can't see it. Now for the next SL maybe, if the basic car is much lighter to begin with. The next Black Series will be a version of the new C63 AMG.

I read in UK Autocar about a month ago, that you will see the Black Series on the current chasis. AMG was targeting a weight reduction of 150-200kg. Just too heavy, but I like the direction AMG is going.

A fixed-roof SL63 BS could weigh 4000lbs....loss of roof mechanics, lighter motor, lighter wheels vs SL55....
599 weighs 4000lbs...and CLK63 BS weighs 4000lbs.....
599 seems to do OK around NBR and HH...even vs much lighter, alleged track cars.....

its already been seen testing and its full of scoops and wings. There was a blurb about it a while back at autospies i think.
AMG has pretty much confirmed that a black edition C63 and SL are on the way.
The current generaly chassis will be the same for the sl until 2010-2013. So I hear. There will be re-fresh's along the way but the core will still be a R230.

A couple of our software writers are ex AMG, and they have told me that a Black series SL is in the works......
