I got that letter in Nov of 06 for my 05 SL55. I think it is for all R230`s with the SBC system no matter what year.

Seems like all the complaints are from 03/04 owners. So far. "Knock on wood"
my 05 has not been cursed with anything in the 15 Months I have had it.
